Owner of the local massage business Sense-Sational Massage, Shellie Morin LMT, did not have to think twice when asked to donate gift certificates to The Noyes Brain Tumor Foundation.
The Noyes Brain Tumor Foundation is a not-for-profit organization who provides funding to the brain tumor program at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Last year they raised $85,289.00 through “Cooking for a Cure Fundraiser”. And on Wednesday September 10, 2008 they will be hosting their 6th annual “Cooking for a Cure Fundraiser” at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland. There they not only serve culinary fare from over 20 restaurants, but they hold a silent auction as well. It is this silent auction that Shellie Morin donates to every year. This year she is donating 2 regular 1 hour massage gift certificates and a 1 hour Hot Stone Massage gift certificate.
Shellie graduated from SeaCoast Career Schools in 2006 and says that going to massage school was the best thing she has done. She enjoys being in a profession where she can help people and can gives back to the community when ever possible.
